The Open Senate Session of the Doctoral Promotion Examination has been held on Friday, July 20, 2022 by the Postgraduate Program of the State Islamic University Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The trial took place in the South Hall, Lt. 4 Postgraduate Building Campus 2 UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The trial started at 09:00 and ended at 11:00 WIB.
The Open Senate Session was held in order to inaugurate the Doctorate title for promovendus on behalf of Muhammad Iqbal from the Islamic Law Doctoral Study Program. The title of the research in the dissertation of Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, M.H., is, “Dimensions of Islamic Law concerning the Existence of Applications for Assistance in the Distribution of Inheritance Outside Disputes in the Religious Courts”. In this session, the Director of Postgraduate UIN SGD Bandung, Prof. Dr. Supiana, M.Sc., CSEE., was present as Chair of the Session.
The trial proceeded solemnly and smoothly. Starting with the opening of the event by the Chair of the Session, then the presentation of the research in the dissertation by the promovendus, followed by a question and answer session from the Expert Oponents to the promovendus. Overall, the Examiners considered that promovendus was very well versed in the topic of study raised in the research as well as a good understanding of the phenomenon.
