[This is just a sample] The Sharia Economics Program was established in Year ___ with a decree from the Director General of Higher Education No ___ Date _ Month 20 __. The purpose of the establishment of this study program is to develop scientific repertoire in the field of Islamic Economics and Finance as well as to develop formal education at the master’s level as a continuation of existing educational programs in the undergraduate program. This development is in line with the development of the Islamic Finance Industry (eg Islamic Banks, Islamic Insurance and Islamic Capital Markets) in particular and the practice of Islamic Economics in general, so that the existence of this study program is very relevant to efforts to meet the needs of competent and reliable human resources in the field of Islamic Economics & Finance. in particular and in the field of economics in general.

For more than a decade this program has been running and has succeeded in achieving a number of important achievements, including in terms of BAN-PT accreditation, namely achieving B Accreditation for the first time in Year 20 __, then increasing to Accreditation A in Year 20 __ . Another achievement is that up to the __ generation of this study program, it has succeeded in producing more than __ alumni. Most of the alumni, about half of them, have careers as lecturers at universities, both public and private, spread from Aceh to Maluku. A number of other alumni are scattered as practitioners in the financial sector, both banking and MFIs such as BMTs, consultants and entrepreneurs.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this study program can have a career as academics, researchers and analysts in Islamic Financial Economics. Besides that, a number of alumni of this study program are active in Islamic microfinance institutions such as Baitul Mal wat Tamwil and Zakat Institutions (LAZIS).

Registration Terms and Procedures

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

The Sharia Economics Masters Program can be followed by scholars with any background ( multi-entry) , both those who are already working and fresh graduates .

The registration form can be collected at any time during office hours at the admissions department. The completed registration application is returned to admission by attaching:

    • Three legalized photocopies of S1 diplomas
    • One legalized S1 transcript
    • 2 x 3 and 3 x 4 color photographs, 4 pieces each
    • Photocopy of ID card
    • Photocopy of Birth Certificate
    • Pass the TPA test selection

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Registration Period I : March – June

Registration Period II: September – December

Registration Flow:

  1. Take the registration form at admission
  2. Fill out and return the form to the admission with the requirements
  3. Pay the registration fee and TPA test of IDR ___ –
  4. Conducting TPA (Academic Potential Test)

Notes :

If in semester V onwards the student has not graduated, then the student at the beginning of each semester is required to pay a registration fee of Rp. 000,000,- and a thesis extension fee of Rp. 0,000,-.

Global Mobility

The Study Program is and is planning to conduct Student Exchange for students with a number of campuses in Malaysia, such as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).
